Jop returns to Insight Theatre having appeared last summer as "Gardner Church" in Painting Churches. He has performed in many St. Louis theatres in over 200 productions and in theatres across the U.S. and Canada. Some of his favorite roles are "Lear" in King Lear, "Willy Loman" in Death of a Salesman, "Richard" in the Seafarer, "James Tyrone" in Long Day's Journey into Night, "Erie Smith" in Hughie, "Krapp" in Krapp's Last Tape, "Henry" in the Fantasticks, "Scrooge" in Christmas Carol (with his son Jared), "Robert" in Proof (with his daughter Jennifer), "Willie Clark" in The Sunshine Boys, and "Capt. Smith" in Titantic.
He received a Kevin Kline award for his work as "Caldwell B. Cladwell" in Urinetown.
Jop has been a proud resident of Webster Groves for 35 years, a proud member of Actors’ Equity for 44 years, and a proud husband of lovely Janie for 47 years.
